What is RFID wristband check-in?
RFID wristband check-in turns the entry pass into a wristband. Each band carries an embedded chip that is linked to the guest at registration; at the entrance the guest simply taps the band on a reader to check in, and the system verifies the list, logs the arrival time and updates attendance in real time.
The same band keeps working throughout the event: a reader at each checkpoint or booth lets guests tap to collect stamps, the backend shows completion per stage and overall progress, and the closing lucky draw pulls only from the checked-in list — nobody absent gets drawn. The band doubles as walking event identity; disposable and paper bands are destroyed on removal and cannot be transferred, while silicone bands can be kept as a memento.
The product goes by many names — event wristbands, entry wristbands, RFID wristbands, NFC wristbands, smart bands — all meaning the same thing: a wearable pass with an embedded chip. NFC is a short-range (13.56 MHz) flavour of RFID, and most event wristbands use it — so "NFC wristband", "RFID wristband", "smart band" and "tap wristband" usually mean the same product. Pixanity picks the chip to suit crowd size and read range; for organisers the action is identical: tap and go.
