From one photo to a lightbox that glows
Everything below is documentation from events we actually ran. The UV printer works on the floor, so this zone is not a display of finished goods — guests stand and watch their own panel come off the bed.
One desktop UV flatbed is the entire production line
This is the actual machine — a desktop UV flatbed that fits on a single event table. UV ink cures under ultraviolet light the instant it is laid down, so there is no drying time and no lamination; what comes off the bed can be handled and taken away. That is why same-day handover is possible for an LED lightbox at all: the whole line sits on the table in front of the guest.
A full bed at a time, which is why the queue keeps moving
This is the part that matters: panels print a whole bed at a time, not one by one. The jig holds a dozen or more, and a single pass finishes all of them. The rhythm on the floor is batch up, print the batch — and the line keeps moving through peak. Portraits, pets and lifestyle shots share one bed and none of them hold the others up.
What it looks like actually running (video)
The part a still cannot show: the head sweeps the full bed while the UV lamp trails behind it, curing as it goes. A dozen-plus panels finish in one pass, which is why the floor rhythm is batch-up-and-print rather than one guest at a time. You can also see photographic and illustrated panels sharing the same bed — one pass covers both.
Off the bed it is a product; housing and stand go on there and then
The printed panel clips into its housing and gets a stand — by hand, in well under a minute. Housings come in white or black. The range of content is the point: portraits, pets, even magazine-cover treatments. The panel is just an image, so what style it runs is decided before the event, not constrained by the process.
The machine sits in front of guests, not backstage
The whole unit is on the show table and guests stand and watch their own panel come off it. That is deliberate: the persuasive part of on-site production is being able to see it. Print it somewhere else and bring it out, and the zone is no different from handing out swag.
Guests decide what goes on the panel
Every piece on the table is different — portraits, pets, lifestyle shots. The panel is just an image, so what goes on it is wide open. In practice pets and family photos far outnumber company logos, which is why we suggest putting the logo in a corner and leaving the main frame to the guest.

The panel does not have to carry the original photograph. On site we run the guest's shot through generative AI to produce a custom cartoon or illustrated version, then send that straight to the UV printer — the face being turned over in the clip is the same man and dog as an illustration. A keepsake has to look good, not necessarily look literal: photographs are at the mercy of the room's lighting, while an illustrated treatment ages better and holds one consistent event style. The style is chosen before the event; nothing changes for the guest.
