What is on-site event badge printing?
There are three ways to do event badges: pre-print everything and dig through the pile at the desk, hand-write stickers on the day, or print each badge at the moment of check-in. Pre-printing breaks the moment the list changes and leaves a stack of badges for no-shows; handwriting means uneven badges and VIPs holding a marker-pen sticker.
On-site printing merges check-in and badge into one step. The guest scans a QR code or looks up their registration by phone number or company at the desk; on confirmation the printer takes the job. The list syncs from your Google Sheet, walk-ins are created on the spot and printed in the same format, and several desks can each run a printer or share one.
Layouts are prepared in the printer’s designer before the event: background, name and company positions and font sizes are draggable, long names shrink automatically, and one event can carry VIP, media and crew layouts.
