AI Sketch Robot
One photo, and a robot draws you on the spot
A guest steps in front of the camera for one photo. AI captures the features and turns it into a single-line sketch, then a desktop robotic arm picks up a fineliner and draws the portrait on a 4×6 inch card, line by line. For a few minutes everyone gathers to watch and film; the finished sketch goes into a frame and home as a one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn-feel keepsake.
- The process is the show — Minutes of pen-on-paper drawing pull a crowd to the booth — watching, filming, queuing
- AI captures, pen draws — AI turns the photo into a single-line sketch, then a real pen draws it on real paper
- Framed and taken home — About 3 to 5 minutes per 4×6 sketch, with your logo and event date, framed on the spot
Overview: who it's for & what it solves
The AI Sketch Robot (also known as a Sketchbot, AI sketch robot arm, robot portrait artist or robot caricature) is Pixanity’s on-site keepsake and crowd-puller in one: a guest takes one photo at the camera, AI converts it into a single-line sketch, and a desktop robotic arm physically draws the portrait on a 4×6 inch (10×15 cm) photo-size card with a fineliner in about 3 to 5 minutes, with your logo, event name and date, framed and taken home on the spot. Unlike AI caricature prints, the selling point is watching the robot draw stroke by stroke — the process draws onlookers and phone cameras, which makes it ideal for exhibition booths, company D&D, brand launches, family days and mall activations. Quoted by service hours, portrait count and number of robots, islandwide across Singapore.
What is the AI Sketch Robot?
The AI Sketch Robot is a tabletop robotic arm. A camera takes the guest’s photo, AI converts it into a single-line sketch that keeps the facial features and character, and a robotic arm holding a fineliner draws it onto a 4×6 inch photo-size card. It replaces the live sketch artist at events — except the artist is a robot, and everyone can watch it work.
This kind of activation goes by many names — Sketchbot, AI sketch robot arm, drawing robot, robot portrait artist, robot caricature — and they all mean the same thing: a camera, an AI line sketch and a desktop robotic arm that holds a pen. Pixanity simply calls it the AI Sketch Robot.
The big difference from AI caricature booths is that it really draws on paper. A print takes a second but nobody gathers around a printer; for three to five minutes the guest watches their own face emerge line by line while friends film, and that wait becomes the busiest moment at the booth. The finished sketch carries real pen strokes and paper texture, plus your logo and the event date — a keepsake people actually keep.
Watching your own face appear, one line at a time
Guests rarely walk away after the photo. They lean in and watch the pen: the outline first, then the eyes, then the moment of recognition — “that’s me”. Someone starts filming, the next person joins the queue, and a circle forms around the table. Receiving the sketch with the ink barely dry feels more like a personal gift than any giveaway.

AI Sketch Robot — FAQ
The questions asked most about the AI Sketch Robot — drawing time, output style, and how it differs from AI caricature.
About 3 to 5 minutes depending on complexity — roughly 40 to 60 sketches in 4 hours. For busy exhibitions or D&D we add robots, or let guests upload by QR and queue.
AI first extracts the features into a single-line sketch, then the robot draws it — key contours, glasses and hairstyle are kept, so it reads as a clean minimalist sketch rather than a photorealistic pencil drawing.
Yes. Sketchbot, AI sketch robot arm, drawing robot, robot portrait artist and robot caricature all describe the same service: a camera takes the photo, AI converts it into a line sketch and a desktop robotic arm draws it with a pen. Use any of these names when you enquire.
A live artist takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes per guest and draws one person at a time; the robot is fully automatic at about 3 to 5 minutes per sketch, can run several arms in parallel, needs crew only for guiding and framing, and the drawing itself is the attraction. Many events use both: robots for the crowd, an artist for VIPs.
AI caricature generates a coloured stylised portrait and prints it in about 20 seconds, great for volume; the sketch robot physically draws with a pen — slower, but the process is the attraction, ideal for booths that need to gather a crowd. The two pair well at one event.
Single half-body portraits work best; duos can be assessed by sketch complexity and take longer to draw.
Yes — logo, event name and date can be printed on the paper or drawn by the robot as a signature, and the frame can match your key visual.
A table of about 120 cm and a standard power socket, indoor or outdoor; outdoors, avoid strong wind and direct rain.
The finished sketch goes into a branded frame or envelope on the spot; guests can also scan a QR to download the digital line art for social media.
Exhibition booths, company D&D, brand launches, family days and mall activations — especially anywhere you need people to stop and stay.
