Three giant elephants walked through Shilin — and at the end of the road, we were waiting.
Taipei's first zoo opened in 1914. In tribute, the 2026 Taipei Arts Festival set off at 19:14 with Compagnie Oposito's three 4.5-metre mechanical elephants from Jihe Road to the Taipei Performing Arts Center plaza, drawing tens of thousands over two nights. We turned the festival artwork into four photo frames. Visitors added the LINE account, uploaded their own parade shots and kept a framed digital copy; the booth on the plaza opened printing in a set window so those who reached the end of the route could take the night home.
